Nasa"s funding might get cut, but there are other space programs that might be better. And as for over population issues it would give us a legitimate reason to teraform and colonize other planets faster

World Peace is a terrible idea. Our population is growing exponentially, even with all the killings and wars. World Peace would just accelerate the growth and doom humanity as a whole.
