50 years is a lot, even if you live for eternity. Imagine being stuck in an empty room (no entertainment, food, etc.) for one hour. You'll go berserk with boredom.

Why does very one want to be immortal? Seeing your kids and your significant other, your parents and your siblings, all your friends, you would see all of them die in front of your eyes. Then be forced to live with it, plus the 50 years. Sounds horrible to me.

Umm, upside? Eventually your loved ones will all die and when you make new friends, they will also die. When the sun explodes you will be all alone in space floating around forever.
