Once upon a time was a creature that was very much like a chicken but wasn't a chicken. It laid a mutated egg and the hatchling became the first chicken. The egg came first - problem solved.

No it was the egg, it would be immposible for the chicken to be first, there would have to be a dinosaur that looked alot like a chicken, that lays an egg, and then the chicken comes from the egg. Thats why the egg is always first.
