Well you could press, something that tells you how far away you are from ur past self, and beeps when you are close to 100 miles So you dont accidentally trip into the 99 mile zone

This is easy. I haven't been alive for very long; the place I live is not very historically important; and I have never traveled much. If I travel back before I was born, the danger is averted.

Hey, it only says your past self. What if you meet your future self? Then they would die. Then you would know the exact time and date of your own death.
