If by killing hitler you cease to exist, then you never went back in time to kill him. This creates an infinite loop where you jump back and forth between existing and not existing and are forced to live forever in torture

If I killed hitler before he rose to power then I would eventually cease to exist, huge events lead to other smaller events and a lot of people would be in different places and chances are a lot people alive today wouldn’t have even been born.
