my current favorite video game is ORIGIN-8, which is a game I am making. only being ambushed once per year is an extreme upside, and having very little chance to survive is normal.

Restart/Respawn or magically come back to life from a practically impossible way that has a 0.0000001% chance of happening(just like in 90% of movies). I"d choose an Anime

Re-spawn. But, considering I would have a year in a video game to prepare...... I would be max level with super rare loot my month 9. At month 12 I would have done so many exploits that anything I punch is killed in one hit.
