I"d be totally okay with that, because if I started with $100 billion and made $5 billion a year, I"d bottom out at $10 billion (assuming the tax applied at the beginning of each year)

the tax would include all the money you have already + the money you get + all money you would ever get. so you lose half your total money every year for the rest of your life. by the 4th year, you'd be at 1/16th of the total money you get. and you'd keep losing money. some thought helps
