It'd be nice to create a game, rather than to not have created it at all. Besides if it was the greatest ever, everyone would want a GameCube and demand would call for a reboot of the GameCube. No downside

It it is the best video game ever, people would buy the GameCube just to get the game. Then Nintendo can pay me money for giving them the game and making the GameCube more popular.
