Fluency in another language is more useful OUTSIDE the country anyway. You can get a job as a translator and other stuff.

Well, "NATIVE" tongue means that what ever language was first ever stablished over those lands, its the native one, Meaning that its REALLY Unlikely that any country right now speeks its real native tongue anymore

I live in Wales, where the native language is Welsh (surprise surprise). Despite this, most people speak English, the majority of these people don't even speak Welsh. My father doesn't speak Welsh but gets around fine. I think I'll manage.
