It didnt say when you would die.... i could just make GAJILLIONS of dollars and extend my life as much as humanly possible and then pass away and give my children those GAJILLIONS of dollars and save A TONNA human lives........ uh...... whats the downfall?

No sacrifice, if you die by it, you didn't cure it. some scientist using your body did. This can't happen, so you cure it, and no death.
