After a while U would get used to the pain, and that are "only" 80 years or so of you eternal lifespan. And probably you wouldn't be floating in space forever, since humanity has probably evolved into an interstellar species or something, so if the earth gets destroyed, you can go somewhere else

Immortality is overrated. I'm fine with dying when my time comes... Regardless of what"s in store after I die. It'll make me force my time now to be productive and enjoyable

Man, that'd be fucking cool in retrospect. For nearly a century some dude that doesn't age is in intensive care screaming in agony and no matter what painkiller or euthanasia they try to administer this ageless creep just insists "YOU CAN'T KILL ME" at the top of his lungs.
