It doesn't change anything, things in the past have already happened, even if you do go back in time and step on a butterfly or kill someone or whatever it'll still lead to this exact moment because it's already happened.

The only way to not interact with a timeline is to literally not exist. No seeing, no touching, no hearing, no talking, no smelling, no learning. You literally have to stop existing to not interact.

Also imaging all the missing persons cases you could solve if you could witness events as they are happening. And no one could see you watching them. Yes you may witness some bad stuff. But you'll gather evedance to bring justice. I would happily take that mantel

That"s not much of a downside really. I get to basically see into the future or past. So what if I cant interact with it I'm gaining a new ability and losing nothing.
