It doesn't change anything, things in the past have already happened, even if you do go back in time and step on a butterfly or kill someone or whatever it'll still lead to this exact moment because it's already happened.

The only way to not interact with a timeline is to literally not exist. No seeing, no touching, no hearing, no talking, no smelling, no learning. You literally have to stop existing to not interact.
