I use public transport on a daily basis already. Never learning how to drive isn't much of a downside. Also, I can still learn how to pilot aircraft and sail boats. Riding bicycles is also still possible.

that"s still not much more than minimum wage in a lot of places. 11.10 per hour here. Plus, I won't ever feel like I"ve accomplished something without knowing that I actually put the work in; happiness can not exist without hardship
