The death happens after the copy is made, so the copy will not have any memory of the other one dying unless the copy is nearby (you just teleported up to some sort of platform nearby) and sees the old you die.

No, you don't. You create a clone where you want to be and then you die. You don't switch perspectives.

If you consider it, if you're teleporting through the perfect copy method, the only possible downside that would really be here is the hundreds of corpses that could suddenly appear through all the teleportation xD
