First of all, why would you want to share universal knowledge when you can use it to cheat the system at everything? And secondly what makes anyone think that everyone else would be interested in knowing this stuff when they"d most likely not care?

there's no downside to this: because no one will know you carved the secrets into tree trunks or boulders, and it's not YOU SPECIFICALLY sharing it with everyone else, it's other people who found the carved things and sharing it with everyone else.
