Look. It says "You can not prevent this" meaning same as "You cannot prevent this". If it said "You can "not prevent this"" the last 3 words would probably be highlighted or something. So, you can't prevent the downside from happening.

But what does "dearest" mean? Like, if I'm on alright terms with everyone, are they safe? or is there a default "most-dear" so someone must die (which would mean that everyone I know of will die sequentially which is kinda pointless but thus renders the positive of this button true, redundantly...)
