I'm guessing "plus, the consequences of your death to people you loved happen to them" is talking about the emotional pain they go through - at first, I thought it meant they die the same way as you, which is maybe why not that many people pressed this button. But, just for the experience, why not?

You seem to be misinformed: atheists do not necessarily believe that nothing comes after death. It is simply the lack of a belief in 'God'. Not really a representative sample size, but I'm an atheist, and I pressed the button. :)
