That's good, because no matter how you try to defend them, PokÃ©balls are used for inhumane purposes. Trainer battles are practically just dogfights. It's disgusting. Fun game, though.

Pokemon fight. It"s what they do. Many can't complet their life cycle without battling. Trainers add regulations in order to prevent the pokemon from getting hurt.

This is a win-win for me. I hate the concept of Pokeballs. And besides, in Pokemon canon, people trained Pokemon before Pokeballs were a thing. it was just a lot less convenient, I suppose.
